Cisco has appointed Ben Dawson as Vice President for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
Dawson has been with Cisco for 22 years and is returning to Australia after spending five years in the US, leading Cisco’s efforts as Vice President of Webscale Sales. In this role he was responsible for the global relationship with many of the largest tech companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Apple and Facebook. He will be returning home to lead all aspects of Cisco’s Australia and New Zealand business, commencing in January 2021.
Dawson will take over from Ken Boal who is transitioning to lead Cisco’s Asia Pacific Japan & China (APJC) Software and Services business.

Dawson has spent his career leading teams through key technology transitions; and has been influential in shaping Cisco’s business in strategic growth areas and new business models. His efforts focussed on meeting the unique needs of the world’s largest web and cloud players, who are redefining the meaning of innovation at scale. He has operated in both the US and Australia.

Prior to Cisco, Ben worked in sales with systems integrators and telcos. He holds a degree in International Trade from Monash University, Melbourne.
