Earlier this month, IDG Communications, one of the world’s largest tech media companies, held the inaugural Channel Asia Innovation Awards 2019 last night. These awards highlight the best the channel in ASEAN has to offer across a leading and diverse line-up of partners, vendors, distributors and individuals. More than 240 technology executives in Southeast Asia were converged at the Andaz, in Singapore to celebrate the impact the channel brings to the region.

Cisco, a finalist in all four of the four Vendor Value Awards, won in two categories for Security and Telecommunications – for Enterprise Networking – categories, edging out strong competition by VMWare, Sophos and a nomination by Singtel in partnership with Invia.

In the Personal Innovation Country category, Tay Bee Kheng, Managing Director, Customer Experience won in a very strong group which included a number of Sophos finalists in addition to a strong nomination from Cisco’s very own Vatsun Thirapatarapong, Country Manager for Thailand for her work over the past 12 months as the head of Singapore.

After a decade of awards in ANZ, the Channel in ASEAN is being recognized and to walk away with 3 awards highlights the value we add not only to our partners but to ASEAN’s digital economy as the region continues on its digital transformation efforts. What makes me event prouder was to  see that in addition to Cisco, our partners such as Ingram Micro, Westcon-Comstor, Veeam, Logicalis and Amazon Web Services also received awards in various categories.

Though our leadership team and I have always known, the industry has also recognized Cisco’s award winning Partner team in ASEAN.
