One of the highlights of Partner Summit is seeing the top-performing partners and their achievements recognised globally and across the region. This year during Partner Summit Digital, a number of partners from Australia and New Zealand were recognised for their innovation, all while constantly evolving their business.

In the global partner awards, Data #3 took out the spot for Commercial Partner of the Year in the Global Excellence Award Winners.
Outcomex won the global Partner Innovation Challenge, the first time a partner from Australia and New Zealand has achieved this status.

ANZ Partner Innovation Challenge winner: Outcomex
Outcomex works to provide innovative, customisable and affordable end-to-end IoT solutions to help the agriculture industry work smarter and more efficiently. Creating Farmdeck, an end-to-end farm management solution which includes sensors, network connectivity, data storage and data analytics platform.
Through the utilisation of Cisco’s API and industrial hardware, Farmdeck offers real-time visibility and analytics to allow the user to monitor their environment, make informed business decisions, and automate certain tasks. Congratulations Outcomex!!
Cisco’s Global Partner Award Winner, Commercial Partner of the Year: Data #3
The global award for Cisco’s Commercial Partner of the Year follows Data#3’s prior recognition as Cisco’s global Enterprise Networking Partner of the Year in 2019, and global Software Partner of the Year in 2018.
Along with significant commercial sales growth, the Commercial Partner of the Year award recognises Data#3’s continued differentiation through a lifecycle-based approach to customer engagement. Undertaken as part of its own transformation program, Data#3 has challenged traditional Cisco partner norms; integrating marketing, customer success, and professional services in new ways to help customers maximise the value of their Cisco investments. The APJC Award winners from ANZ include:
ANZ Partner of the year: NTT Australia
NTT has integrated Cisco technology at the DNAC and Service Layer, expanding what this could mean for customers, with real time telemetry and data to inform customer success.
As well, leveraging the API connectivity with the Webex platform to build new capabilities that leverage’s the technical capability were among the highlights.
Marketing Partner of the Year: Data #3
Data#3 has been recognised for the second year running as the Cisco APJC Marketing Partner of the Year.
The award is a reflection of Data#3’s success in executing communication strategies that create exceptional customer experiences. Throughout the FY19/20 financial year, Data#3 Marketing undertook a series of targeted customer campaigns; growing both Data#3 and Cisco brand awareness, educating customers, and accelerating customer value realisation. Ecosystem Partner of the Year: Taleka
Taleka takes a fresh approach to customer experience by following a human-centered design methodology, believing adoption starts with people first, technology second. The ecosystem partner has been instrumental in driving adoption in the collaboration space with consultative customer success.
They were also winners of the ANZ Partner Innovation Challenge last year, with system partner Appspace on an innovative idea to enable employees to use their voice to play ‘how to’ videos on demand on Webex. This means that people have the ability to use devices for more than video conferencing, which includes sending communications messages to employees about company updates, alert information for emergency messaging, and display communication around adoption of features. Technology Excellence, Security: Outcomex
Outcomex received the award for the Technology Excellence Partner of the Year: Security for innovation, leadership and best practice as a Cisco business partner across APJC.
One of the most exciting Security projects that Outcomex has worked on was partnering with National Australia Bank (NAB) to provide the bank’s 400,000-plus small business customers with Cisco’s Umbrella cloud security platform. This was a landmark deal in the ANZ region as the first Umbrella as-a-service deal. You can read more about the Outcomex win, here.
Technology Excellence, Collaboration: Optus Business
Optus Business is a long-standing Cisco Collaboration partner.
Most recently, Optus Business has led the way as the first Australian telco provider of Broadcloud Calling; as well as the first Service Provider in Australia to launch an offering based on Cisco’s Webex Contact Centre technology.
Optus Business was ANZ Collaboration Partner of the Year in 2018; won the Cisco APJC Innovation Award for Architectural Excellence in Collaboration (2019) and achieved Cisco ANZ Architectural Excellence: Collaboration Partner of the Year 2020. You can help celebrate the win with Optus, here.
