Marisol Palmero

Principal Architect

Cisco OneX

I am a Telecommunications Engineer, who graduated from the Polytechnic University in Madrid (Spain).

I joined Cisco in August 1998, currently working as Principal Architect in the Technical Enablement and Acceleration Office, part of the OneX organization.

My area of expertise has been Network Management for many years at Cisco with a current focus on telemetry and sustainability leading projects across the company involving different business entities, with a common focus to standardize data specifications to ingest in platforms like CX Cloud.

Other initiatives that I've been leading around innovation, running Hackathons under key technologies, and combining Design Thinking and skills from our skilled technology experts. For the last two years, I have been involved in IETF Standardisation efforts and working in IEEE publications.

One of the biggest achievements of this work has been receiving the TSIA Award-Innovation on Customer Success in 2021. In 2020, I led the Automation community in CX EMEA, with the main focus on CI&CD and Test Automation.

I am part of the session group manager (SGM) team at Cisco Live EMEAR, under Operations and Sustainability tracks, reviewing and selecting the technical sessions that will be part of the Cisco Live! customer event.

Before joining the OneX/CX organisation, I've been part of the Technical Services Organization at Cisco, working as Escalation Engineer in EMEA TAC.

I am an active member of the Inclusion & Collaboration organisation within Cisco, where my goal is mainly to raise the interest for study and pursue STEM for boys and girls.

I introduced "Programa Escuela" in Spain & EMEA back in 2012, and I keep collaborating with ONG's like Green Light For Girls and Power To Code. Also actively participating in the Spanish PWN Organization for many years.
