Aruna is a global marketing leader who is passionate about digital transformation, workplace transformation, and DevOps. With her 20+ years of experience in Marketing and management background, she is passionate about elevating marketing into an engine that drives thought leadership and demand generation, with a direct impact to a company’s growth. Aruna specializes in SaaS and digital marketing leading with data driven omni-channel marketing that contributes to the company’s revenue and profitability.

She is currently the VP/CMO of Cisco’s Webex Collaboration business. She is responsible for all aspects of marketing including demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, branding and other supporting marketing functions for market leading Webex collaboration products. Before coming to Cisco, she has held leadership roles at several other companies – VP of Marketing for CA Technologies $1.5B DevOps business (acquired by Broadcom for $19B), VP of Marketing and Strategy for Software Defined Networking (SDN) at Juniper Networks. She started her career as an engineer at Hewlett Packard holding executive leadership roles in engineering and in marketing during her 17-year career. Aruna enjoys blogging about technology; she is an independent blogger for Forbes and other industry forums. She has also authored two technology books on DevOps.

Aruna was named the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley 2016 by the San Jose Business Journal, received the National Diversity Council’s 2016 Most Powerful and Influential Woman Award, and Silver Stevie Award for Female Executive of the year 2018.

She holds a degree in Computer Engineering and an MBA, both from Santa Clara University, and a graduate of Kellogg Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) program in 2019. Aruna also sits on the boards of California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo & Panzura.
