Paris, 19 October 2021 –  After 4 years of refurbishment, the Pullman Paris Montparnasse hotel is preparing to open its doors soon. It has used Cisco’s state-of-the-art technology to develop optimal connectivity for an unrivalled experience.

A combination of excellence and innovation

The hotel, located at the foot of the Montparnasse Tower, is ranked the second largest in France, and has decided to offer its customers an unprecedented and resolutely innovative experience.

As a key player in the Premium universe in Europe, the hotel will offer its customers the smoothest and most stable connection experience possible to ensure a hitch-free stay, while providing their teams with the best possible working conditions.

This initiative naturally follows on from the actions taken by the hotel since its creation in terms of technical innovation: rooms that can be turned into boardrooms, the first televisions and then flat screens, high-speed Wi-Fi, etc.It was in this context that Pullman Paris Montparnasse called on Cisco’s technological expertise to go further still.

Technology at the heart of customer and employee satisfaction

Through this collaboration, Pullman wishes to provide robust and reliable internet connectivity, a genuine prerequisite for meeting the needs of a new generation of hotels and its customers.

The following infrastructure will be deployed at Pullman Paris Montparnasse:

  • An operational Wi-Fi network thanks to a secure infrastructure connecting some 670 Wi-Fi terminals.
  • Mobile Device Management licenses to manage and secure the hotel’s mobile equipment.
  • Local Measure licenses to analyse customer satisfaction in real time, directly integrated via an API into the Wi-Fi network connection.

Thanks to this system, the hotel will be able to improve its customers’ experience by ensuring that flows of people are managed properly and completely anonymously. Visitors will be able to enjoy unrivalled Wi-Fi quality, with seamless and fully secured coverage.

“Technological innovation is one of the key prerogatives for us to offer a unique experience in the heart of Paris. Today we are delighted to be able to draw on Cisco’s expertise to offer a reliable and secure connection to our customers”, says Christoph Merz, Deputy Managing Director, Pullman Paris Montparnasse.

And this is just the beginning…

Pullman Paris Montparnasse continues to innovate and will roll out the following initiatives in the coming months:

  • Implementation of OpenRoaming to automatically switch from 4G/5G in the hotel Wi-Fi network.
  • Exploring the Meraki Vision solution for physical security and analytics uses (number of visits to a defined area, temperature map, restaurant occupancy rate, etc.).
