WALLISELLEN, Switzerland – May 19, 2020 — Cisco Webex Calling is a cloud telephony solution that is particularly interesting for small and medium-sized companies wanting to replace their old phone system. It is flexible, scalable without additional investment and includes Webex Teams for collaboration across various locations. Swisscom is the first Swiss service provider offering Cisco Webex Calling.

“Phone calls are and will remain important for business communication, both for connecting with customers and internally among employees. Cloud-based solutions that offer cost efficient telephony in combination with collaboration applications, such as team chats and meetings, are becoming increasingly popular,” says Niema Nazemi, Head of Communication Solutions, Cisco Switzerland. “Digital communication that is connecting people across networks and locations is key to strengthen business resilience. We are therefore pleased to work with Swisscom as the first Swiss provider to offer Webex Calling to customers in Switzerland. Users will benefit from a solution that is easy to deploy, reliable in operation, and adapts flexibly to internal and external communication needs.”

Secure, smart and scalable

With Cisco Webex Calling, organizations receive a cost efficient, simple and flexible communication solution that already includes Webex Teams with collaboration features such as file sharing with 20 GB storage capacity, group chats and whiteboarding. New employees and locations can be activated with just a few clicks, via the self-service portal.

Webex Meetings can be added any time to complement Webex Calling. Together, they enable state-of-the-art web and video conferencing and can be integrated with Microsoft and other eco-partner solutions. In addition, Webex Meetings uses AI functions to help attendees focus on the conversation. Cisco Webex Calling is highly secure and is designed for the best audio and HD video quality.

The Swisscom offer

Webex Calling complements Swisscom’s existing Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) portfolio for business customers. The portfolio represents an “everything from a single source” offer that goes beyond common basic services. Additional services offered by Swisscom include Webex Meetings licenses, the Swisscom Enterprise SIP trunk and hardware such as session border controllers and end devices.

“By adding this state-of-the-art-solution to our UCC portfolio, every aspect of collaboration in dynamic organizations is covered and we are able to offer the right solution for every customer,” said Mathias Kienholz, Head of Workplace & UCC Swisscom Business Customers.
