Cisco Collaboration solutions accelerate retail banking digitization, supporting both a simpler customer experience and the security, compliance and innovation needs of the first Italian banking group.
Following the opening of the new Cisco Cybersecurity Co-Innovation Center in Milan, the partnership will be extended to IT security
Milan, 30 January 2020 – In the framework of the Bank’s Digital Banking plan, Cisco has created a collaboration service for Intesa Sanpaolo, that allows a safe and compliant with industry regulations collaboration between employees and customers, through the Mobile Banking APP and Cisco Webex Teams cloud collaboration platform – leveraging messaging and document sharing tools.
The service delivers a very simple way of communication, through a secure chat, and ensures integration with the existing ICT systems already adopted by Intesa – such as Cisco Communication Manager, Cisco Contact Center, CRM – and also the integration, in the future, with Artificial Intelligence tools.
Cisco DevNet, the application development platform for Cisco technologies, played a key role in the realization of this new solutions; it allowed to obtain a strong personalization of services and their integration within the Intesa Sanpaolo Mobile App. The ability to integrate Webex functionality into its existing applications and websites was a fundamental element for Intesa Sanpaolo’s choice to collaborate with Cisco.
Thanks to these new features, customers can receive assistance from their online branch or contact their dedicated manager, in a conversational and intuitive way, in a chat environment where they can also exchange data and documents, respecting all privacy and security needs for personal data.
The Intesa Sanpaolo App, integrated with Webex services, will be gradually made available to all customers by the year 2020.
The collaboration between Intesa Sanpaolo and Cisco will also extend with the recent opening of the new Cisco Cyber-Security Innovation Center in Milan, which aims to create a network of people and places supporting startups, developers and the entire Italian innovation ecosystem and help their collaboration about cybersecurity.
