Dubai, 10 October 2019: Cisco, a leader in cyber-security hosted a group of school children from Dubai British School for a book reading session as part of their online safety awareness campaign.

The group including all Year 3 students, listened intently as author Tamara Clarke read her children’s book ‘Super Surfer’ to them. It follows the adventures of 5-year old boy, Wally, who has a passion for surfing at the beach and online.

Through his journey children are shown how to address everything from pop-ups and cyberbullying to important rules for protecting their privacy online. After the reading the children present received copies of the book to keep.

The initiative is part of Cisco’s campaign to ensure a safe internet for all through education and awareness. The internet has become an increasingly important part in the lives of young people. Cisco believes it is essential that users of all ages have the right tools and knowledge to remain safe online.
