Today, we are proud to announce that BT has chosen Cisco to provide the infrastructure for their Internet peering network. The upgrade in technology will seamlessly connect BT’s network with other carrier networks and ISPs to support the customer experience.

BT’s approach to delivering direct connectivity to the cloud providers coupled with Cisco’s ability to deploy SD-WAN endpoints natively into the cloud provider provides customers with a compelling end-to-end service to enable the transition to cloud.
BT will deploy the Cisco Network Convergence System (NCS) 5500 series which offers industry-leading density of routed 100 GE ports for Internet Peering. It is designed to efficiently scale between data centres and large enterprise, web and service provider WAN and aggregation networks with market leading power savings and telemetry.
