The week in Florida at Cisco Live flew by. I enjoyed having the opportunity to talk with Cisco customers, partners, and colleagues from around the world. It was an exciting and uplifting event.
Here are a few highlights:
The closing keynote was amazing. Dr. Michio Kaku (theoretical physicist and futurist) and Amy Webb (futurist, author, and founder of the Future Today Institute) delivered a powerful message about what science can tell us about our future. Check out the replay here.
In addition to their keynote, you can watch more than 1,000 sessions from Cisco Live Orlando via the Cisco Live On-Demand Library. This includes Chuck Robbins opening keynote, technology sessions, Ask the Expert, TechWise TV, and more. You can also view my presentation: Disrupt or Be Disrupted: Embracing the Decision Economy.
I shared the ten best practices for success in today’s Decision Economy. They’re based on the belief that the ability to assimilate, interpret, and act on data quickly will make the difference between winners and losers.
Some of these practices include accelerating the rate of learning, going beyond security and embracing data integrity, and using knowledge transfer to combat brain drain. Others include how to shift your focus to scale your success and how to build your listening infrastructure to probe for vulnerabilities in your business model. Plus, innovation is about getting outside the four walls of your organization and taking action against your blind spots. These are just a few of the topics I covered.
While there are huge challenges ahead, understanding the new Decision Economy can help your organization not only survive but thrive. Watch my entire presentation here.
See you at Cisco Live 2019 in San Diego!
