In my January blog, I talked about many of the tools we provide to help all of our partners increase their marketing effectiveness. I heard a lot of feedback from you on that particular blog, and I promise to always share the most up-to-date information on how Cisco can help you with co-branding, demand generation and training.

In fact, just last week, I was in Melbourne, Australia, where I had the honor of opening the Cisco Live! Marketing Velocity session with a keynote address for hundreds of your colleagues. I took the opportunity to expand upon 3 themes around how we can market more effectively, with a focus on how we can all become “future-proof marketers” by harnessing the technologies that are tailor-made for our line of work.

What exactly do I mean by becoming a future-proof marketer? It’s all about taking advantage of the technology, data, and power of our partnership to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace – and create exceptional experiences for our customers.

I encourage you to take less than 19 minutes to watch the replay of my keynote in Melbourne. Among the other amazing speakers who presented at Marketing Velocity were Eric Siegel, who enlightened us about predictive analytics, and Mark Phibbs, VP of APJC Marketing.

While I loved taking the stage for my keynote, I equally enjoyed all of the conversations I had with our partners at the event. Here are a few common topics that I heard repeatedly:

  • In our digital age, Marketing is a critical business driver that sets the bar for customer experience.
  • Partners recognize the importance of digital transformation and personalization.
  • Partner marketers need additional help on how we can build a more comprehensive understanding of our customers by leveraging joint data, insights and predictive analytics.

It was exciting to speak with so many interested partners in Melbourne, and I will take to heart the great feedback they shared with me. If you are attending Marketing Velocity in the Americas and EMEAR regions, I’m excited to dive in deeper with you in person.

As always, please let me know what you think in the comments below and keep following my blog for the next update!
