Bart McGlothin is a Solution Architect in the Compliance Solutions Group at Cisco Systems, Inc. Bart leads the technical aspect of Cisco's Security Framework for Compliance and more specifically; Payment Card Industry (PCI) initiatives including Cisco's Validated Designs for PCI compliance. These frameworks, architectures, and commensurate design solutions provide guidance to customers in their efforts to connect and secure customer data in branches, data centers, on the Internet Edge and into the cloud. Bart leads Cisco's involvement with the National Retail Federation's Association for Retail Technology Standards Committee (ARTS) as vice chair of the technical committee board.

He has over sixteen years of solution architecture and design experience. Prior to Cisco, Bart worked as the Chief Network Architect at Safeway, Inc., a large US-based grocery chain with over 1800 store locations. His efforts included Designing and building a second data center and architecting a complete infrastructure upgrade for all locations.

Prior to Safeway, Bart was a sales engineer for SBC where he received several World Class Achiever awards. He lives in Concord, CA with his wife and two children.
