On October 31 at Cisco Partner Summit in Dallas, Cisco’s Global and Strategic Partner Organization hosted an award ceremony to recognize IT Service Provider (ITSP) partners. During this ceremony we honored the strategic contributions these partners have made to Cisco. We also recognized the tremendous progress they’ve achieved in advancing agile IT transformation on behalf of our joint customers.
As the market continues to move towards digitization, ITSPs (also known in the market as “outsourcing service providers”) play a critical role in helping customers obtain the right infrastructure and applications to support their transformation. Increasingly companies are also outsourcing their IT services management to ITSPs to take advantage of more flexible consumption models. In fact, global technology research firm ISG forecasts a 20% plus growth in as-a-service sourcing in 2018. In the overall picture, ITSPs represent a very strategic route to market for Cisco as they help customers convert from legacy systems to more agile IT infrastructures.
