At Cisco, inclusion and diversity are central to who we are. I’m incredibly proud to work for a company that has one of the most diverse Executive Leadership Teams in the industry – 42% women and 58% diverse in terms of gender and ethnicity. Cisco is focused on enabling full-spectrum diversity, inclusive of abilities, genders, generations, cultures, ethnicities, orientations, work styles, and points of view.
For me, diversity encompasses all of these because they all add up to diversity of perspective and the ability to adapt to constant change. I firmly believe diversity of thought is essential to building a successful, adaptable work force and team.
This focus on inclusion and collaboration is one of the reasons I chose to work here, and also the reason I’m so proud to be the Executive Sponsor for Cisco’s global Connected Women organization. This employee group, which has thousands of members in over 39 chapters across 55 countries, focuses on fostering inclusion and collaboration, and providing Cisco’s women employees with networking and professional development opportunities to accelerate their careers.
One of those development opportunities is the Women of Impact conference. This event – which coincides with International Women’s Day – is attended by over 15,000 Cisco employees, partners, and customers in over 100 sites across 52 countries. It also features a global broadcast from five different sites around the world that are open to the public. This year’s theme is “Imagine Your Possible” and attendees are encouraged to spend the day on their own professional development, gaining the resources, insights, and inspiration they need to imagine their own possible.
SAVE THE DATE – Mar 5, 2019! You are invited to “Imagine Your Possible” & join ~15,000 #Cisco employees, customers & partners – women & men – for our live global broadcast of ‘Women of Impact 2019’!

Hi! So inspired by what I watched today and I would like to get involved. Where do I start? I am from Kansas City, Missouri and I am an Information Technology Assistant Director for County government. Worked in IT for the past 25 years. About 10 years ago, CISCO invited me to talk to high school kids about women in IT and it was a very successful event. Please let me know how to get involved. Thanks..
Hi there! I lead communications for Rola and am also the chair for Connected Women in Canada. Rola has asked I follow up with you! Can you drop me an email ynsouli@cisco.com
