When will this become available? This sounds like this offer is provided by the Cisco SPs only?
Hi Gil,
UC-One SaaS is available now. The Webex Teams messaging features described above will be available by the end of this month. UC-One SaaS is an SP channel only offer. The SP offering UC-One SaaS would need a BroadWorks system to support this solution – we'd be happy to sell you one.
Thanks,
Javed
Thanks for sharing UC one. How is it different from WebEx Teams and is there any integration with desktop, conference room phones ?
Hi Sachin,
UC-One SaaS is an SP channel only offer optimized for the SMB. The differences with Webex Teams are mainly in depth of features. Webex Teams/Meetings can be viewed as enterprise level offers which include higher value features (like, for example, Webex Meetings “events” with 1000+ participants, registration, etc – that will never be a part of UC-one SaaS). Also, enterprise admin functions like Active directory support, ordering/administration by the enterprise, compliance/discovery capabilities, etc. All of those will be in Webex Teams/Meetings. UC-One SaaS Is SMB focused and it has 1) fewer features, and 2) follows an SP rather than an enterprise/IT management strategy. Regarding integration, yes, there is currently a minor integration between Cisco MPP Phones and UC-one SaaS that shares presence information. As part of our Webex technology alignment will be room systems and participating in meetings right from UC-One SaaS.
Thanks,
Javed
Javed, As a traditional Broadcloud provider, this is very exciting news on the UC-One SaaS for Service providers. Is there a place to download the new client?
Hello Javed, Great concept and glad to say we are not far from finalising the implementation.
