BroadSoft is delighted to be participating in this year’s Cisco Collaboration Summit as a new member of the Cisco family. I’m personally thrilled to be joining along with other BroadSoft colleagues, including our co-founders Mike Tessler and Scott Hoffpauir. We’re looking forward to meeting with Cisco partners and customers to share more about the exciting Cisco calling vision and journey ahead of us.

Let me tell you a little bit about BroadSoft and what we bring to Cisco.

BroadSoft is the market leader in cloud unified communications. We have more than 600 channel partners and a presence in over 80 countries. Our installed Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) base is more than 19 million business lines. We are by far the market share leader with about 45% of the installed base.

It’s no surprise that more and more businesses are planning their migration to cloud communications. According to Gartner*, UCaaS revenues will grow to $19.5B and surpass on-premises system revenues by 2021.

Our business model uses a service provider-led approach. We sell to 25 of the top 30 service providers by revenue. And we work with other well-known brands that sell directly under their own brands as a software-as-a-service (SaaS).

We have a full cloud portfolio that includes unified communications, team collaboration, and contact center solutions, with advanced mobility capabilities. One of our key differentiators is our ability to deeply integrate into a service provider’s mobile network, enabling the world’s largest mobile telecommunications companies such as Vodafone to offer compelling mobile UC solutions to medium-sized businesses. Another example is Verizon One Talk, a unique industry-first solution that enables small businesses to share a single mobile number on both mobile and office phones.

Working together with Cisco, we’re enhancing our two leading portfolios to deliver better value to our customers. For example, BroadSoft UC-One will be enhanced with Cisco Webex Meetings and Teams capabilities and devices over time. Likewise, Cisco Spark Calling will become Cisco Webex Calling and over time will be enhanced with BroadCloud calling capabilities.

Our CC-One omnichannel cloud contact center solution will become the mainstream solution for small and midsize businesses, enabling Cisco partners to accelerate growth and market reach in this space. We’ve helped many organizations successfully migrate their contact centers to the cloud – including American Red Cross and Office Depot.

While we have solutions for all segments, we specialize in small to mid-size businesses where cloud is already the preferred solution. We also serve large multinational and public sector organizations such as Montgomery College, which has nearly 60,000 students across multiple campuses and workforce development centers.

Our products will continue to evolve over time and offer an even more compelling value proposition to help you:

  • consolidate your communications infrastructure
  • reduce costs
  • enhance mobile and remote worker productivity
  • improve responsiveness

The combined breadth and flexibility of the BroadSoft and Cisco portfolio will help you move forward in a way that makes sense for your organization, extending the value of your existing investments and enabling a successful transition to the cloud.

This is why we’re better together. I hope you’re feeling the same positive energy that we’re feeling at BroadSoft as we embark on this journey with Cisco.
