John Spade

Technology Architect

John Spade is a South Florida based technology architect and Cisco Champion* specializing in small business information and networking needs. He has been actively deploying and troubleshooting Cisco routers since 1995. John is lead inventor on a VoIP related patent (8,089,952) which utilized RADIUS billing data from the Cisco AS5xxx series to intelligently re-route fax and data calls on the fly. An early proponent of the Internet and Linux, John helped develop and instruct a one unit course “Economics and the Internet” at CSU Chico where he earned a Bachelor’s in Economics. His economics training shaped his international telecom deployments, where great efficiency was needed for expensive satellite and terrestrial links. These global links prone to loss required careful tuning to satisfy the demand of VoIP’s high packet rates and Cisco voice gateways and routers gave him the needed flexibility. Today you will usually find him in Miami or Fort Lauderdale helping small businesses and service providers utilize Cisco hardware and software to securely virtualize and connect their applications to the cloud.
