Cisco has been ranked #3 best workplace across Latin America among multinational companies, according to the Great Place To Work Top 100 list. The Great Place to Work Institute held its annual awards ceremony on May 22 in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Central America and the Caribbean, simultaneously.

“At Cisco, our people are our #1 asset. We believe that a culture of empowerment, development, inclusion, diversity and recognition is central to the employee experience and our company's success. Digitization plays a key role as well. We live in a digital society and our network and collaboration technologies allow our people to work flexibly, efficiently, and effectively. This environment of collaboration and innovation gives employees a better work life balance with high-level execution. It also allows them to feel proud in helping communities, cities, governments and businesses in their digital transformation journey, delivering new competitive social and economic models to increase quality of life across Latin America,” said Jordi Botifoll, Cisco president Latin America & senior vice president in the Americas.

This year, more than 1,400 companies in Latin America enrolled in GPTW, comprised of more than 2.2 million employees around the region, but only 100 of them were classified among the very best! This list recognizes companies in three size categories: Small & Medium (20 – 499); Large (500+); and Multinational.

The Great Place to Work results are based on surveys conducted among employees of the firms being evaluated, with an analysis of Human Resources policies in the areas of: Recruiting and welcoming; Inspiring; Talking and listening; Recognition; Employee development; Life balance and sharing; and Influence and communication.

“It is very rewarding to see Cisco Latin America as one of the best places to work across the region. At Cisco, people really matter. Together we drive our culture, internally called People Deal to best meet business needs and go for the growth. Our culture is fundamentally based on trust, speed, agility, innovation, inclusion and collaboration, customer focus and giving back to society. It is all about how we show up during the good times and the bad . This award is very meaningful to us, it does show that our efforts are being recognized outside of Cisco as well. And this is what we want, we want to show up as great leaders, great employees, who make a difference in the world and bring our People Deal to life everyday, for everyone, everywhere,” said Patricia Prospero, HR director for Cisco Latin America.
