Introducing Cisco Headset 700 Series
As I came into the office, following our transition from cubes and hard walled offices to an activity-based workspace, I realized office life would never be the same! People were interacting more; teams were huddling for standups — it was awesome to see all the collaboration. As the day progressed, I realized the noise levels continued to ebb and flow. It became hard to focus or signal to colleagues when I didn’t want to be interrupted. I tried numerous headsets and gadgets to help focus but none of them offered a complete solution for open offices. It was then that I realized this was an opportunity for Cisco to extend the power of our collaboration platform right to your ear!
This month we introduced the Cisco Headset 700 Series, a new category of headset, built for business, personal, and the journey between. An enterprise headset designed for users in the evolving workspace, where working styles and the consumerization of technology have blurred the line between consumers and workers.
The modern worker is mobile – working at the office, the coffee shop, the airport, or from home. Workplace transformation and modern connectivity services allow companies to extend their footprint beyond the office, and now people work from anywhere. Traditional business headsets perform well in the office but have limited capabilities for mobile workers. The Cisco Headset 730 enables workers to remain productive anytime.
With the Cisco Headset 730, you can stay connected anytime from anywhere with Clear Voice. This voice-honing, boom-less technology has six microphones that transmit crystal clear audio, with powerful background talker and noise reduction. It also includes adaptive noise cancellation that adjusts to the noise environment (office, café, airport) and cancels out local distractions.
It features Bluetooth 5.0, USB and 3.5mm connections to support your office, mobile and travel connectivity needs. The Headset 730 settings can be tuned anywhere using Cisco IP phones, any of the Cisco clients or in the new Cisco Headsets app available for iOS and Android.
The modern worker considers team collaboration the most important factor for productivity.
Cisco Headset 730 provides great connectivity to collaboration applications hosted on mobile phones, laptops, and desk phones. It is tightly integrated with Cisco collaboration clients such as Cisco Jabber or Cisco Webex Teams making it easier for users to focus on what matters, getting the job done.
The modern worker blurs the boundary between work and personal time. The Cisco Headset 730 features premium acoustics with a 40 mm speaker driver, and support for advanced codecs for a superb experience when listening to music or watching movies.
Modern IT operation = Consumer grade simplicity + enterprise grade management & security
Along with the evolution of the work styles, the modern enterprise is evolving to deliver a Modern IT Operation.
Headsets have traditionally considered a commodity purchase – basic (dumb) accessories. The reality is that similar to other endpoints, headsets are becoming smarter, with more software and with the support of open APIs. Given the lack of focus, headsets have become a management and security concern for IT.
For Cisco, management and security are table stakes for any endpoint, including headsets. And with the Cisco Headset 730 we have taken big steps forward.
Cisco Headset 730 features the most robust security in the industry today. It is the first headset featuring hardware security via Secure Boot. It anchors the secure boot process to hardware, resisting tampering attacks even if the hacker has physical possession of the device.
Cisco Headsets leverage existing Cisco collaboration infrastructure for intelligent management. With the Cisco platform, IT administrators have a single, integrated platform to manage their Cisco applications and devices, extending management capabilities to include inventory management and firmware updates. Soon we will also enable end-to-end call diagnostics and advanced user analytics.
We are proud to provide a collaboration platform unlike anything in the market today to help our customers keep their devices secure and configured to deliver the best experiences.
See the seamless reliable collaboration experience for yourself:
The Cisco Headset 730 is here to unleash the modern worker, allowing them to collaborate anywhere, and enabling the modern enterprise to deliver a hassle free, secure and managed IT operation. Welcome to a new headset experience.

Hi Manish,
The Headset 730 is available to order in the US!
Will the 730 support both AAC and different flavors of aptX (HD, low latency, adaptive) codecs? Also, what options for user-controlled multi-band EQ will be available (perhaps iOS/Android app adjustable)? The 560 headset has stunningly horrible music sound quality out of the box and the basic EQ functions are laughably inadequate to compensate. The 560 is a great headset otherwise, but Cisco really needs to hit it out of the park with the 730 regarding music SQ and flexibility if they want to have a chance in this very competitive field, where phone call SQ and management functionality are not the top priority for most users that would have this type of device.
Hi Ryan,
The Headset 730 supports SBC, AAC, and aptX codecs. Users have the ability to adjust the equalizer to pre-set settings for calls, music, and cinema within the Cisco Headsets mobile app available for IOS and android. We also have plans to provide a custom equalizer setting to users. The 730 has high end 40mm drivers, acoustics tuning, and advance codec support providing a great music experience, comparable to high-end music headsets. Users have been very impressed with the music quality on the 730. Give it a try for yourself!
Thanks,
John
