Questions about containers? Curious about Kubernetes? We’re not surprised. Though you’ve no doubt heard of them both, you’re probably wondering if they’re actually worth exploring or if they’re hiding behind the hype. Sure, the simplicity and speed offered by containers may have caught the eye of leaders like Google, but for IT organizations, it could be something of a different story. Now that we’ve reached the limits of the wait-and-see period for potential container and Kubernetes action, it’s time to press ahead — to find answers to questions like:

  • What is driving enterprise Kubernetes adoption?
  • What types of organizations use Kubernetes in production?
  • What are best practices for IT organizations preparing to adopt containers?

And that’s just the mission of our next #CiscoChat, quickly approaching on Wednesday, April 25th, at 9 a.m. PST.

This chat will be moderated by @CiscoCloud, and will feature Senior Director David Cope (@DavidJamesCope), Director Jeremy Oakey (@Jeremy_Oakey) both of Cisco, Google Manager Allan Naim (@allannaim), and Executive Director of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation Dan Kohn (@dankohn1). In their chat, David, Jeremy, Allan, and Dan will trace the rise of enterprise containers before offering insights into the benefits of Kubernetes for IT organizations.

To participate in the chat:

  • Make sure you’re logged into your Twitter account.
  • Search for the #CiscoChat hashtag and click on the “Latest” tab.

  • Be sure to use the #CiscoChat hashtag at the end of each tweet, so that others can find your contributions to the discussion.

If you have questions for the group, feel free to ask away during the #CiscoChat. See you then!
