Andrea has more than 10 years of experience in complex data centers, working on server, storage, network and security topics. He achieved certifications on Red Hat (RHCE), NetApp (NCIE-SAN), VMware (VCP4-DCV) and Cisco (CCIE R&S and Borderless Networks/Data Center Architecture Design Specialist). He's extremely passionate about data centers and network technologies, especially Cisco, Linux and VMware. He believes in only a holistic approach to data center management.

Andrea also enjoys programming automation tools and small utilities. A few years ago he developed iou-web to help Cisco employees empower their study skills. Andrea received a lot of feedback and had the unique chance connect with many Cisco engineers.

During his spare time, Andrea loves traveling, seeing other countries and learning about different cultures. He does freestyle/freeride snowboarding in the winter, and practices meditation year-round. He definitely loves wide-open silent places.
