Alan Sardella

Manager, Product Marketing

Alan Sardella has over 20 years in the IT and telecommunications industries, in roles including product management, training, and marketing (corporate, technical, product, and solutions). He has helped introduce dozens of networking products into the marketplace since 2005. Alan is currently a Senior Marketing Manager at Cisco, focusing on SDN and NFV solutions in the WAN and data center domains for communications services providers of all stripes—traditional telcos and service providers, as well as mobile operators and cloud providers. Previously Alan was VP of Marketing at Cariden Technologies, acquired by Cisco in December of 2012 and the basis of Cisco’s WAN Automation Engine (WAE). He has worked for other equipment providers in various marketing roles and (further back) other IT companies in software development.

Alan holds an M.A. in Humanities from San Francisco State University, and a B.A. in Liberal Arts (Computer Science Co-Op Program) from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
