Now that the Holidays are upon us, and we look forward to 2014, the Cisco Small Business team continues to raise the Small Business networking bar with the introduction of the all new Cisco RV325. This Dual WAN, 14-port VPN Router, provides all of the same performance, security and reliability of the RV320 launched last June. Both routers are perfect for fast-growing small businesses or branch deployments. So if you are looking for more ports in the same enclosure, the RV325 is the Small Business router to take a look at.
Like the it’s smaller sibling the RV320, the RV325 is a perfect match with the Cisco Small Business SG300 Series Switches and WAP500 Series Access Points. As you saw from my last Blog, the WAP551 and WAP561 boasts a nice feature-set including Captive Portal and Single Point Set-up. The WAP 551/561 are controller-less Access Points meaning additional hardware is not required. The SG300 Series offers a nice blend of features at an affordable price and are designed Small Business. It has most of the features that can be found in today’s Enterprise-class Switches.
This formidable combination makes for the perfect solution for that many Small Businesses and Organizations can take advantage of. Add in our portfolio of award-winning Cisco Small Business Services, and you have a solution that all that guarantees a positive experience from Cisco Small Business Team.
One Option for this solution is the newly launched 200 Series of Smart Switches. There are four new models including 10-, 24-, 26-, and 50-port switches. These Full Power PoE Smart Switches are a great alternative as they offer a generous feature-set, solid performance and even greater affordability.

Hello everybody
what is the difference between DS-lite and IPv6 and IPv4 tunneling?????
Is these 2 different technique or not?
I want to implement BGP IPv6 with DNS servers.
I will have 3 ASES with 4 Core routers. i would be very thankful if somebody give me little guideline.
Thanks
Regards
Jan
DS-Lite, or dual stack, involves running IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time. End nodes and routers/switches run both protocols, and if IPv6 communication is possible that is the preferred protocol.
Tunneling takes IPv6 packets and encapsulates them in IPv4 packets to be sent across portions of the network that haven’t yet been upgraded to IPv6.
Dear Marc,
First, my best wishes for 2014 !
I’m living in Belgium and even contacted the local Cisco office, but can’t find any information on the RV325 when and where to buy while people told me it should be available already since november ’13.
Could you help me find availability in Western Europe (Belgium in particular) please ?
Would be most appreciated !
Kind Regards,
Kristof.
Hello and Happy New Year to you Kristof.
The RV325 should be be available soon in Belgium. The new VPN Router started shipping in December and there is quite a bit of talk about it as people find out there is a new model from the Cisco Small Business Team.
I am hoping one of your local online e-tailers will have it in stock soon – I checked Eurosys and it was not sku’d up yet. I would check with your other local e-tailers fr availability information.
Good luck,
Marc
I have about 50 PCs, which all connect to different APs, which in turn are connected to a Cisco 2650 series switch. I’m in the market for a router, not necessarily with wireless capability, but with security features to block URLS, https, and easy to use GUI setup interface. Might also add a wireless manager feature, where each users might be required to enter a username and password before being able to access the web. Which Router from the cisco family can handle this.
Hi, when would this RV325 be released the new product hold for APAC countries?
Albert, Thank you for the reply and interest.
You should be able to order and get one very soon – what country are you in?
Best,
Marc
