I’m very pleased to welcome a new member to the Cisco USNIC/MPI Team: Dave Goodell.  Welcome, Dave!  (today was his first day)

Dave joins us from the MPICH team at Mathematics and Computer Science division at Argonne National Laboratory.

There are three main reasons we hired Dave:

  1. He’s wicked smart, has been active in the MPI Forum and community for a long time, and has proven coding skills.
  2. He loves cats, and thinks they should write parallel code.
  3. The USNIC roadmap here at Cisco is long and wide.  We have soooo many MPI things planned beyond our initial “ultra low latency for short MPI messages” release that we need multiple engineers to do it all.

Great things are coming!
