Our customers are working to build the future and let’s face it – security is a grind.  Customers have to deal with increased complexity, multiple vendors, and adversaries who only continue to get more sophisticated.  Not to mention the increasing pressure on our partners to stay on top of the latest security trends and technology, while hearing a ton of noise from the vendors you work with.  It’s enough to make anyone’s head hurt. That’s why at Cisco, our aim is to simplify the experience for everyone involved, accelerate success, future-proof our customers’ security strategy, and create a stream of recurring revenue and profit for our partners.

This year at Partner Summit, you’ll hear a lot about our security as a platform built on best of breed products, fully integrated with streamlined automation and open API’s. This is the evolution of our security vision and strategy. I encourage you to check out our new messaging and EBC deck to learn more.  We also have some stellar product innovations that we will be sharing in person at Partner Summit.  These announcements include:

  • Future of the firewall – new models with improved performance
  • Accelerate cloud adoption with Cisco Umbrella
  • Securing your workforce, workplace, and workloads – a Zero Trust approach

If you are attending Partner Summit, we would love to see you.  In fact, our very own Gee Rittenhouse will join David Goeckeler on the main stage during the Global Insight Session to talk about our most recent innovations on Tuesday, November 5.  We will have a demo area in the Partner Hub with the latest solutions to experience first-hand. Jeff Reed, SVP of Product – Security Business Group, will present a Hub Talk on Tuesday, November 5 at 1:00 pm PT. We also have an invitation only Security Auxiliary session on Monday, November 4, at 2:00 p.m. If you received an invitation for this event, I encourage you to register and add it to your agenda. John Maynard, head of our Global Security Sales Organization, Gee Rittenhouse, SVP/GM, Security Business Group, and I will be presenting.

If you are not able to attend Partner Summit, you can still live-stream the main stage sessions via our Virtual Partner Summit page. Register here.

I also encourage you to join us, and invite your customers, to our first-ever Cisco Security Virtual Summit the following week, on November 12, where we’ll share our vision that drives everything we do – and how it will transform the way your customers approach security both today and tomorrow. Learn how we are simplifying the security experience for our customers, and check out our post in the Security Partner Community to learn more.

Finally, we want to stay connected. We will be launching a new Security Partner Hot Topics Hub. This will be your place to get top of mind security news. Sign up now to receive your Security Hot Topics.
