There’s a party going on! An employee party to kick off FY16 with fun and food and friends. It’s called Cisco Rocks, and it’s in part a celebration to thank John Chambers for his 20 years as our CEO and to welcome Chuck Robbins and the new Executive Leadership Team.
Follow along on Twitter using the hashtag #CiscoRocks, or follow our Storify, below, for the fun throughout the day!

This looks like it was an absolutely epic event. I am excited to watch and see what the future will bring – but from the looks of this we can expect big things!
Cisco Rocks left me inspired and proud to be a part of a company that is passionate about the future and motivated to help change the world by focusing on their people. It was great to follow along throughout social media too and “meet” co-workers across the globe who shared in my excitement. 🙂
Nice, celebrate whacking thousands of employees, not growing the business, wasting money on stock buybacks instead of reinvesting in R&D, destroying acquired companies, stock piling money off shore, and the list goes on.
The Cisco Rocks celebration was beyond inspiring. John Chambers was well deserving of an event to celebrate his career and successes while leading Cisco. There is no one more selfless and humble as John. Chuck is a great choice to follow in his footsteps. He’s will without a doubt continue to push Cisco to change the world and I could not be more proud to be part of this company.
What an amazing day, full of energy and fun and great people! This is an exciting time for all of us, thanks so much Chuck for the celebration!
AMAZING event, i loved it.
Ya my husband was allowed to attend but since he is contractor for last 4 years only he was allowed to go but full time employees brought guest
The retirement was long overdue. The only “hired” (not the founder) longest serving CEO of a fast moving technology industry in modern times. Missed many opportunities, no company growth in the past several years and leaves a bloated organization to his successor to fix. Unfotunately, wait for the next round of layoff’s. All the best Chuck. By the way…who is paying for this big party?
This looks so great. Thanks for sharing this pictures with us!
Its great that this comnpany invests so much in its employees, and they all look amazed by the awesome party you had.
Looks like great times are ahead of Cisco.. cant wait to see it!
You sure rock John.
Let us list your accomplishments,
– Failed acquisitions,
– focus of marketecture instead of architecture,
– power point engineering,
– non-technical people in key technical positions
– during your term, Cisco went from tech innovator to playing catchup
– Screwed up management structure, that leaves a top heavy organization for someone else to clean up
– the culture of ‘visibility’ and friends in the right places and not your work is the way to move ahead
– closed, proprietary solutions
– no decent engineer from top engineering institutes considers you a company of choice when they are looking for work
And by the way arent you laying off people from your so called “family” while you celebrate your innumerable screw-ups? Way to go John, you sure back stab like only family can.
Looks like it was a brilliant event
