Cisco Webex Collaboration business is over the moon to be part of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon on July 16th, 2019. We are thrilled to attend live at the Apollo 50th Gala celebration, held at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida. With our collaboration technology we will connect legendary figures globally with Webex during a panel discussion at 9:00p Eastern, and we’ll even broadcast live, too, so viewers all over the world can join in the celebration. Teams will also be located at the USS Hornet and in Australia to bring memories of the past to the present.

We are excited to not only celebrate the astronauts you may be familiar with like Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, and Michael Collins but also the global crew of 400,000 people who participated in the lunar mission. We will connect astronauts from the Apollo mission with satellite trackers in Australia, mission control personnel and recovery specialists from the USS Hornet who, 50 years ago, collaborated against enormous odds to realize one of the greatest achievements in human history.

Cisco Webex modern collaboration solutions are comprehensive for the way teams need to work today. We can connect local or remote teams and provide a unified experience across meetings, teams and calling. Can you imagine how modern Webex may have helped the Apollo teams of the past? We are proud that NASA is our customer and we look forward to supporting their collaboration needs for the next era of space travel, from the moon, to Mars and beyond.
