Suhail Syed

Suhail Syed is a Sr Product Manager with more than 17 years of experience in Cisco’s Cloud and Virtualization Group on the central OpenStack team responsible for owning and delivering the product strategy and roadmap for Cisco’s OpenStack family of products. Suhail helps define product definition, features and the long-term roadmap through a deep understanding of the OpenStack market and Cisco's partners and customers. Suhail is focused on building and driving strong customer, analyst and industry expert relationships, help uncover emerging trends and market transitions in the cloud space that Cisco and its partners can quickly address. Prior to joining Cisco, Suhail was a Sr Product Marketing Manager at Intel on OpenStack focusing on developer community outreach and creating and driving various industry awareness campaigns for Intel and its partners. Suhail has extensive industry experience (Marketing, Planning and Building) on the consumer software side (Android, Chrome OS and HTML5) and hardware side (Ultrabooks, Tablets, Set Top Boxes, Network Processors and Itanium Servers) and was part of the founding team within Intel that launched Netbooks. He has been a guest speaker at Cal State Hayward, hosted a tech talk on emerging trends around Android and HTML5 on the largest South Asian Lifestyle Radio Channel in the US and is an Uber techno-geek. In his spare time Suhail loves to mountain bike, hike, play competitive basketball, volleyball, and badminton and is a voracious reader and blogger.
