Sean Welch joined Cisco in April 2016 as Vice President for Cable Access in the Service Provider Business. He leads the development and product management teams that deliver innovative solutions for our multiple-system operator(MSO) service provider customers (cable/satellite).

Welch directs all elements of strategy, engineering, go-to-market and sales for our cable access portfolio, which includes cable modem termination systems (CMTS) like the Cisco cBR-8, our industry leading Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP).

Sean and his team deliver solutions that help our MSO customers transform their networks to meet the ever-increasing appetite for bandwidth and converged services (video, voice and data).

He is also leading our efforts to help customers virtualize, simplify and automate their networks for maximum scalability and profitable growth.
