Rafael Maranon is a senior product manager for platform independent software running in Cisco products. At Cisco’s Network Operating System Technology Group (NOSTG), Rafael develops the strategic vision for expanding the scope of Internet of Things (IoT); Machine-to-Machine (M2M); Data Management and Analytics; and Cisco’s Device Sensor solution.
Before joining Cisco, Rafael worked as a product manager in Europe designing and launching the first open source programmable IP Communication platform and dozens of enterprise applications to improve business process management. Rafael obtained a M.S. in Engineering and Management from MIT’s System Design and Management (SDM) Program and holds a B.S. and M.S. in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Malaga in Spain.
Rafael lives in San Francisco with his wife Anna and daughter Ada, and has a special passion for oil paintings and sociology.
