Maria Erickson

Maria Erickson is a Cisco Technical Sales Specialist, a 25-year high-tech industry veteran who had a front seat seeing and participating in the evolution of voice communications from tip and ring technologies to today’s highly rich unified communications. Maria is a life-long student, an immersive traveler and an aspiring runner. Currently employed at Cisco Systems in the Collaboration organization, Maria supports Cisco customers by actively listening and understanding business needs, developing and designing best-in-class Cisco solutions for customers, and providing industry best practices for deploying and adopting Cisco products and services. Maria and her husband, John, very much enjoy serving in their community. Maria has been a long-time volunteer to teenagers in local organizations and schools, such that a good number of her LinkedIn connections originally started out as the “pioneer” user friends on Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. Maria and John are personally invested in the lives of teenagers in their community, and while these friendships may start in high school, they go beyond the teen years in the spirit of mentorship and fellowship. Maria obtained an Associate in Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems in 2000. Maria is currently a college senior at Liberty University in Virginia, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems degree. As a full-time engineer, part-time student, she will graduate around 2022, and dares her teen and young adult mentees to race her to college graduation.
