John Holobinko has over 30 years’ leadership experience as a VP and Director of Strategy/Product Management in large corporations and CEO of emerging software and hardware companies.
Prior to joining Cisco as the lead of strategy for Access Networks, he was VP Strategy of the $1B Network Infrastructure business for Motorola Home (now Arris Group), where he was responsible for driving product innovation and business transformation in areas such as next generation IP video, optical, access networks and cloud-based services.
Earlier in his career, he was CEO of VPIsystems, a big data analytics firm for optimizing large communications networks and CEO of Aplion Networks, which created one of the first layer 4-7 IP switching and routing systems. He also cofounded American Lightwave Systems, Inc. a pioneering company of long-haul optical digital video transport, PON and HFC optical network products.
John holds six patents in optics, smart devices, and signal processing.
