Jerry Gavin joined Cisco through the Tandberg acquisition in 2010 as an Video Sales Engineer. He has expertise in the Telcom and VoIP technology and leverages this as a Consulting Systems Engineer for UC Collab for the PS SLED East. Being a remote worker for Cisco allows for the flexibility of supporting PS community using Webex or Video technology on a daily basis.
With a focus on Education, Jerry supports the University of Nebraska Omaha for all Collaborative and Digital Technology in their Education environment. He is responsible for design and integration of Video Conferencing Architecture for Harvard, MIT and UConn and assisting them on the Best of Practice for ease of use and educational workflows.
Prior to joining Cisco, Jerry worked supporting the DoD for Military Communication and VoIP for Commercial and Enterprise customers for pre and post sales. He has witness Telecommunications change from Analog to Digital and looks forward to seeing the next breakthrough technology emerge.
Jerry is an avid runner, skier and fitness guru and can talk about New England sports team at the drop of the hat.
