As lead of America’s field marketing for Cisco’s cybersecurity division following Cisco’s acquisition of Sourcefire, Gary designed and implemented the field marketing strategy, structure and plan to deliver world-class demand generation campaigns to help grow Cisco’s fastest growing division. He works with field sales leadership to deliver a 'digital first' marketing strategy, leveraging marketing automation and customer journeys to drive lead generation activities. Responsible for lead generation, account-based marketing, digital marketing, customer marketing and events.

Gary has twenty years of marketing experience. Prior to joining Cisco, Gary was vice president of field marketing for Sourcefire, which was acquired by Cisco for $2.7B. Prior to Sourcefire, Gary was vice president of marketing for Parature (sold to Microsoft for $100M). Prior to Parature, Gary was vice president of marketing for Vocus Inc., the global leader in public relations management software, where he helped grow the company and a successful IPO (sold to GTCR for $466M, now Cision). Prior to Vocus, Gary was Vice President of Marketing for Authoria Inc., the world leader in human capital management software where he played an instrumental role in achieving a trajectory of consistent and rapid growth (sold to Bedford Funding for $63M, now Peopleclick) . Gary also held several key positions with Kronos, Inc., most recently as Director of Marketing Programs (acquired by Hellman and Friedman for $1.8B).

Gary holds a B.S in Business Administration from Northeastern University and is a frequent guest speaker at online events and at industry trade shows and conferences around the country.
