Courtney Beard is a Network Consulting Engineer with Cisco’s Global Services Practice in New York, New York.

A member of the New Jersey Air National Guard since 2007, she was deployed to Iraq for one year. In 2010, Courtney became the first  female airman to complete the 18-hour Army Cavalry Spur Ride, a grueling series of mental and physical tests.

Courtney participated in the first cohort of the Warrior to Cyber Warrior program, a cyber-security program for veterans. She is part of a family that has been serving in the U.S. military since the Revolutionary War.
