Bob Scarbrough

As a Manager within the "Cisco on Cisco" team at Cisco Systems, Bob Scarbrough leads a team to develop world-class IT Case studies and Operational Best Practices. IT is instrumental in implementing business strategy, which is why Cisco actively shares lessons learned from using its own technologies to deliver tangible business solutions.

Bob joined Cisco in 2000, holding a variety of leadership positions in strategic architecture, IT-Alpha team, portfolio management, and the Cisco on Cisco group.

Prior to joining Cisco, Bob worked in the IT industry for 15+ years, holding several engineering and leadership positions. Bob held director positions in Network and Operations for NetFrame Systems in Milpitas, CA, and Acorn Engineering in City of Industry, CA. Bob also worked as Director, Enterprise Network Consulting for a Silicon Valley consulting firm for 3 years prior to joining Cisco.

A graduate of the University of Redlands - Southern California, with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Bob also holds two contractor licenses and a Securities broker's license. Bob has two patents, one prior to joining Cisco and one with Cisco called "Techniques for voice-based user authentication for mobile access to network services". An avid airplane pilot, Bob enjoys aerobatics in tail dragger airplanes. He also enjoys cross country flights with his family.
